The National Archive @ the NRM

Accessing Britain's largest collection of Railway related archive materials

York, once the viking capital of England, is the home of the National Railway Museum (NRM) which contains on of the largest archives of railway materials in the world. Having reached out to them a few weeks ago they indicated to me a large number of materials relating to the Woodhead railway are held within its archives and that most of the material they hold relates to the period around its closure. We've organised access and I'll be heading to York in early February to see what they hold and how it might be useful for my work.
